Unplanned exploration of Spoons + Ribbon in a session yesterday.

Had the absolute pleasure of wrapping up my working year delivering three days of training with @oilycart and @elliegriffiths34 at @folkteatern in Gavle Sweden. Lots of talking, doing and feeling into sensory exploration, co-creation, neurodivergent and disabled creativity, communication and interaction.

@indeartsprojects shared a lovely and informative (what a combo) article over on their website today sharing some of what myself and @kirstin_georgia and Joanna Young have been up to with the Sensory Collective this past year. I recently re-visited the area where I did my earliest playing, figuring and growing. After a little bit of totally-above-board fence hopping. I found myself in my primary school playground.

immersive sensory experiments. tinsel-hiss-hut. for best results shave head.

This piece is called "googly doop". It came from trying to find the simplest version of something and spawned many more creations and play moments. The young person involved loved animation but really needed a tactile non-abstract way in. Cue sharpies, googly eyes and a scanner.
